Best part of the game is the music in the ending sequence
GAMEPLAY
I like that most objects are interactive, in proper RPG fashion (what's the point of an RPG if I can't spam-click the same potted plant 5 times). I also think the game needs a combat system to give it the full RPG experience, but I wouldn't expect you to have that already included in a demo.
VISUALS
I like the vibrant and chiaroscuro art style for the sprites since the contrast sets the mood of the scene. It doesn't match the background environment, but I imagine this was intentional. I like how well you convey emotion with the sprites, despite them having minimalistic faces.
AUDIO
I think adding the traditional RPG "ppp" sound when text is being displayed could add more personality to the final game. Sound effects like door opening are really loud, but the unsettling music is great and perfectly conveys tension and anxiety. Maybe in the final game, you could animate the end scene.
I really like the part where you eat expired chees strings in the dark
